How to use Marblism Linda for contract review

Use Linda to make a contract easier to understand and to prepare sharper questions. Do not use an AI summary as the final legal decision.

Why this is useful for a small business owner

Contracts are difficult partly because the important business questions are scattered across pages of definitions and legal wording. Before you can decide what to negotiate or ask a lawyer, you need a map: who owes what, when money changes hands, how the agreement renews, how it ends, and what happens if something goes wrong.

Linda can help create that first-pass map. The value is preparation and organization—not legal certainty. A clear map can make your conversation with qualified counsel more focused, but it cannot tell you how a clause will be interpreted in your jurisdiction or whether signing is safe.

A safe first contract-review workflow

1. Choose a controlled document. Start with a non-emergency agreement you are authorized to upload. Do not use a document containing unnecessary personal, medical, financial, or customer data.
2. State the business purpose. Tell Linda whether this is a vendor agreement, customer contract, lease, employment document, NDA, or another type of agreement—and what decision you are preparing for.
3. Ask for a section-by-section map. Require page or section references so you can verify every important point in the source document.
4. Separate facts from questions. Ask Linda to label what the contract says, what appears unclear, and what should be taken to a qualified lawyer. Do not ask for a confident yes-or-no conclusion.
5. Verify the summary yourself. Check names, dates, payment terms, renewal, termination, insurance, liability, indemnity, dispute, confidentiality, and intellectual-property language against the uploaded contract.
6. Escalate material decisions. Use qualified legal counsel for negotiation, jurisdiction-specific interpretation, legal advice, and the final decision to sign.

Marblism says Linda can simplify uploaded contracts and agreements, flag potential obligations and risky clauses, and save documents she drafts under the Documents tab. The official guide says drafted documents can be edited in the interface and downloaded in PDF or Word format.

An important limitation is that identifying a clause is not the same as interpreting its enforceability, giving jurisdiction-specific advice, or predicting a dispute. AI can also omit language, misunderstand definitions, or summarize a cross-reference incorrectly. Always compare the output with the source.
